ELVIS CROSSING NEXT 22 MILES

Insurance companies in Graceland have been complaining about the increasing number of damaged cars whose drivers claim they’ve hit Elvis and or ran into a tree trying to avoid hitting Elvis. In 2005 Graceland insurance companies reported that drivers ran into Elvis more times than deer, and that Elvis caused more fatalities.  The Tennessee Legislature has responded to the problem by ordering “Elvis Crossing” signs be placed in the areas most frequented by The King, hoping this will heighten awareness, and reduce the number of fatalities.
