NEW ADDITION TO LEGALLY BALD DICTIONARY: FURLOUGH

FURLOUGH: Probation. Community Control. House Arrest.

A criminal Defendant who is sentenced to Community Control (House Arrest) or Probation calls the probation and or community control a Furlough.  Because he is just buying some time until he is violated and sent to prison.

“I’m gonna take a furlough and do some probation so I can buy me some time before I decide to violate and go to prison.

“Probation is just like being out on a furlough.”
