Apparently, people were upset that Leo Manzano,

the Silver Medalist for the United States in the 1500 meter race waved an American Flag and a Mexican Flag after the race.  Manzo was born in Mexico and has dual citizenship in the United States and Mexico.  He ran for the U.S. and got the Silver Medal for the U.S. and when the flag rose during the medal ceremony it was an American Flag. Yet people felt it was Un-American for him to wave both flags after coming in second. Some people even quipped that he should go back to Mexico.

Apparently, the real reason everyone is upset, is that if Manzano raced for Mexico then it would have given an American who was not as fast as Manzano a chance to make the U.S Olympic team in the 1500 meter race.  Yet, once again an example of a Mexican taking away an American citizen’s job or in this case Olympic Dreams, endorsements, etc… Of course in this case, the Mexican is also a citizen of the United States…. All I can say is: Remember the Alamo. And this Land is your land, this land is my land…

U.S. Olympic athlete, Mexican flag?
