THE BOOK BURNING OF THE MONTH CLUB COMPLAINS OF PUMPKIN-PORNOGRAPHY IN CLASSIC CHILDREN’S BOOK

Every month on the third Tuesday of the month the Brevard County Book-Burning of the Month Club meets to discuss which book to burn and then burns it. The club meets promptly an hour after sundown at Spencer Holland Park in Melbourne Beach where a bond fire is lit on the beach and everyone drops a copy of the book into the fire. All burnings are supervised by the Melbourne Beach Fire Rescue.

The Main Selection of the Book-Burning of the month club for October is: It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Though the group refuses to go into specifics they claim that though its very subtle there is some kind of Pumpkin-Pornography going on in the book and the president of the club was quoted as saying, “I know it when I see it.”

Anyone who wants to join the club should call 1-800-BURN-ITT.  Next week they will be burning Fifty Shades of Gray.
